This year the Airborne Wind Energy Conference took place in Freiburg im Breisgau in Germany. The event started on Wednesday 4th of October with an outdoor public exhibition on a central square downtown Freiburg. This was a great opportunity for TwingTec to show the energy drone (picture below).
On the 5th and 6th of October the conference was organized at the Albert-Ludwigs University, with many presentations and posters. TwingTec’s CEO Rolf Luchsinger held a presentation on the roadmap to WindEnergy 2.0.

The conference ended with a very interesting panel discussion about how will Airborne Wind Energy look in 2015. The panel consisted of Dominic Frongillo (US Politician and university lecturer), Fort Felker (Makani), Richard Ruiterkamp (Ampyx Power), Kester Gunn (E.ON), Peter Harrop (ID TEchX) and Rolf Luchsinger (TwingTec).
