Reyad Fezzani has over 30 years as a global business executive first with BP plc then as an entrepreneur co-founder of Regenerate Power, a developer, owner and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects. And Energy Finance Company building and operating distributed energy assets.
And more recently as an advisor investor and board member with venture backed early stage Technology companies in Silicon Valley including his current role as Executive Director of Carbon Collect Limited a direct air carbon capture company.
He spent 22 years at BP Plc where in his last role he was Chief Executive of BP Solar, and Chairman of Tata-BP Solar, and prior to that led BP’s renewable business Global Wind and Solar based in California USA. The business operated solar manufacturing plants in US, Spain, India, China, and Australia, and developed, constructed and operated Solar and Wind farms in the US, Europe, India and China with over 3,000 employees. Prior to that he was CEO of BP’s Global Chemicals business with annual sales of US$10 billion, operating in Asia, with manufacturing sites in China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as the Americas, and Europe. The business manufactured the feedstocks for use in the Textiles, Plastics, Paints and Adhesives industries.
In 2005 he headed the Executive office of the BP Group CEO, Lord Browne, at the time when BP launched its Alternative and Renewables Energy business.
Earlier in his BP career he served as VP, Strategy & Planning for BP’s global manufacturing, and marketing business, SVP US Fuels Marketing, Head of European Supply & Trading, and various commercial roles in Exploration & Production and BP Finance.
He holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and is a Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the ICHEME, the Energy Institute and Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
