Dr. George Hanna | CEO & Board Member

George has always been fascinated with flying. At 14, he embraced his enthusiasm for flying and for the power of wind, and started solo flying sailplanes and windsurfing.  At roughly the same age, he became a renewable energy enthusiast after learning about not only how we are destroying the world, but also how we could save it, by harnessing the power of wind and solar. As a result, George holds a PhD in electrical engineering and a diploma in Physics, and at TwingTec his three passions converge:  flying – using wind power – and renewable energy.  Before TwingTec, he was co-founder and co-managing director sales and finance of the Berlin-based start-up QINOUS, now Rolls-Royce Solutions Berlin, being active in commercial and industrial-sized battery solutions for the off- and on-grid markets worldwide. Previously, he had management positions in sales and closely worked in strategy projects at Bosch Solar Energy AG in Arnstadt and Q-Cells SE in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Additional engagements were at the ZSW (center for solar energy and hydrogen technology) in Stuttgart and McKinsey Company in Hamburg.
